Chocolate Chip Cookies

INGREDIENTS

Butter                     - 125 gm (4ozs)
Vanilla                    - ½ tsp
Egg                         - 1
Self- raising flour     - 1¾ cup
Chocolate chips      - 125 gm (4ozs)
Sugar                      - ½ cup
Brown Sugar           - ½ cup (lightly packed)
Salt                         - ½ tsp
Walnut pieces          - 60 gm (2ozs)

METHOD

Cream together butter, sugars and vanilla. Add lightly beaten egg gradually, beating well after each addition. Mix in sifted flour and salt. Add chocolate chips and chopped walnuts, mix well. Shape teaspoonful of mixture into small balls, place on lightly greased oven trays, allow room for spreading. Bake in moderate oven 10 to 12 minutes.
