Pound Cake

INGREDIENTS

Self rising flour              - 4 oz
Castor sugar                 - 4 oz
Butter                           - 4 oz
Vanilla                          - 1 tsp
Eggs                             - 2 large
Milk                             - 1 tbls
A pinch of salt

METHOD

Cream butter and sugar and add eggs one at a time, beating well with a pinch of salt. Fold in sifted flour, adding milk and vanilla. Bake in a round tin which must be greased and floured in a moderate oven for about 35- 45 minutes.
